D.C. is known by foodies for its diverse and delicious cuisine scene. That’s why we love DC Restaurant Week! The week begins Monday, August 19th and let’s you taste D.C.’s top restaurants through 3 course meals. This year you can enjoy a three-course prix-fixe lunch for $20.13 or dinner for $35.13. What better way to celebrate being in DC while all your friends are on vacation?
This year over 240 restaurants are participating, including some of our wind-powered customers. Here’s a list of our favorite spots and some of their top-rated dishes:
Eatonville is home to U Street’s best Southern comfort food. They have a menu with everything from Mac & cheese to fried green tomatoes and even jalapeño grits.
Belga Café is the place to brunch on Barracks Row. Fluffy Belgian waffles and delicious mussels are our favorites here.
Café Milano is our favorite Italian restaurant on the list with their rich linguine with lobster and their mouth-watering veal dishes. Perfect for a date night out in Georgetown.
Café Saint-Ex is a Modern American dinner spot featuring comfort food with a twist. Think fried green tomato BLT’s and pork belly with grits.
Kaz Sushi Bistro serves unique sushi including (but definitely not limited to) seared salmon belly with lemon soy, tuna with crusted almond, sea scallops with prosciutto and chives, salmon with mango puree and more.
Zest Bistro is a Contemporary American restaurant with a great brunch menu. Some of the top-rated dishes are their crab cakes Benedict and lamb sandwich. It’s sure to get you out of bed on the laziest of Sundays.
If none of these tempt your taste buds (though how could they not?) the full list of restaurants can be found here!
