CLEAN CURRENTS EXPANDS WIND POWER OPTION TO RESIDENTS OF EASTERN SHOREMaryland Green Energy Company Expands its National Wind Power Electricity Program to Homes and Businesses in the Delmarva Power Region
(ROCKVILE, Md) - Clean Currents is expanding its offer of clean nationally-sourced wind power to electric customers in the Delmarva Power utility region, which encompasses most of Maryland's Eastern Shore as well as parts of Harford County. With this expansion, Clean Currents will now have the ability to provide customers across the state of Maryland - from Allegheny Power customers in Western Maryland, to Pepco and BGE customers in the center of the state and now Delmarva Power customers on the Eastern Shore - with clean nationally sourced wind power delivered through the grid.
Maryland is an open competition state for electricity. Consumers have the option of buying power from sources other than their electric utility. Clean Currents exclusively offers green power options for consumers.
"Consumers on the Eastern Shore can now switch their homes or businesses to wind power without having to install any equipment, make any upfront payment, or change the reliability of their service," said Gary Skulnik, Clean Currents President. "With rates that are competitive with the utilities, there's never been a better time to help the environment and protect your family's bottom line by switching to Clean Currents wind power for homes."
Clean Currents began offering its clean wind power in late 2007 to customers in central Maryland and the DC suburbs. With its headquarters in Rockville and a satellite office in Catonsville, Clean Currents has since grown into one of the state's leading green energy companies, counting over 6,000 residential and 500 commercial customers across Washington, DC and Maryland.
The company works with businesses and homeowners interested in switching their electricity source to green power through the grid or through on-site solar power installation.
"There's a green wave coming to the Eastern Shore, finally enabling residents to switch to clean power in a cost effective and easy way through Clean Currents," said Skulnik.
