Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) are recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the electricity industry. Purchasing green power allows businesses to join the EPA's Green Power Partnership, a list with some of the top corporations in America. One renewable energy certificate is equal to 1,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, so dividing the amount of power used annually from your utility bill is the quickest way to determine number of RECs required.

US Green Building Council Members are eligible for special discounts on "green-e" certified RECs. Read our news release.
