Solar Installation Incentives in Maryland

Maryland Residents can receive subsidies three ways, In addition to 30% Federal Tax Credit:

State Grants (current 2010):
 
Maximum $10,000 grant paid to both residential and commerical owners for systems under 20kW.

$1,250 per kilowatt (kW) installed, up to 2kW
$750 per kW, from 4-8kW installed
$250 per kW, for 9-10kW installe

Maryland County Incentives:  
Funds are limited and provided on first come, first served basis! 

Anne Arundel County
Property Tax Credit   50% of the total cost, up to $2,500

Harford County
Tax Credit $2,500 flat credit

Howard County: (Property Tax Credit for Energy Conservation Devices)
Tax Credit 50% of the total cost up to $5,000
(Ask a Clean Currents representative about funding of the Howard County credit)

Montgomery County:
Tax Credit 50% of the total cost up to $5,000

Prince George's County:
Tax Credit: 50% of the total cost up to $5,000
