Compared to our Mid-Western and Californian friends, us Mid-Atlantic'ers don't come across many utility-scale wind farms in our daily activities.  But they do exist - and there are more on the horizon as several projects in the region have already broken ground with many more in the planning and permitting phases.  The American Wind Energy Association has a great map that shows all wind power facilities in the United States (click the logo below to see):

As most of you know, Clean Currents started offering its Neighborhood Wind™ product back in July.  So now, customers can choose Clean Currents wind power produced from National or Local sources.  From a climate change perspective it doesn't really matter where wind farms are sited, as long as the energy they produce is placed onto the electric grid, helping to offset demand for carbon-emitting sources of energy.
