This Year It’s All About Community

November is a month to be thankful and to give back in meaningful ways. Every year, Clean Currents takes a step back to consider the causes that move us and makes and extra special contribution. This year, we decided to give back to the groups we feel closest to – local communities!

Forty-five different community, faith, and school groups are participating in our Green Neighborhood Challenge to build a more sustainable community and fundraise for their greening initiatives. With plans ranging from switching to CFL light blubs, to installing solar PV systems, to improving community gardens and purchasing recycling bins; these groups want to have a significant positive impact on their community.

We are already recognizing these groups for their efforts, but in the spirit of giving, we want to do a little extra this month! Throughout November, each time someone enrolls for wind power at home and mentions a participating GNEC group, Clean Currents will donate $50 to support that community group!

I'm like many mothers I know, concerned about the planet our kids will inherit and overwhelmed by daily life. Clean Currents made it simple and affordable to switch to 100% wind power, without breaking my back or the bank.
