CLEAN CURRENTS OPENS BALTIMORE OFFICE

Rockville Based Green Energy Company Expands into Baltimore Area Market with
 New Office in Locust Point

(ROCKVILLE, MD) - Clean Currents announced today the opening of its office near the Inner Harbor in the Locust Point/Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore, solidifying the company’s growing presence in the greater-Baltimore market.  The new office, located within the 46th legislative district, will include three full time employees plus interns.

The company chose to open its offices in the South Harbor Business Center, formerly know as the King Syrup Building, a historically renovated industrial loft building located at 1414 Key Highway in the Locust Point/Federal Hill neighborhood.  The surrounding area is home to a vibrant mix of businesses and retail tenants and is adjacent to the notable Baltimore Museum of Industry.  The South Harbor Business center is owned and operated by the Azola Companies, a design firm specializing in historic renovations.

“When we were searching for an office location to increase our presence in the Baltimore area, the South Harbor Business Center stood out to us for several reasons,” said Charles Segerman, CEO and Co-Founder of Clean Currents.  “The fact that the Business Center is a sustainably rehabbed historic building was especially attractive for us since one of Clean Currents’ central tenets is to operate in as sustainable a manner as possible.  The Federal Hill/Locust Point area is also home to many environmentally progressive organizations, companies, and individuals, so we look forward to settling into our new home.”

Based in Rockville Maryland, Clean Currents is a leading green energy company in the Mid-Atlantic region.  The company supplies wind power sourced from national and regional wind farms to residential, commercial, and industrial entities in the State of Maryland and Washington DC.  The company currently employs fourteen employees at its Rockville headquarters and is adding three more staff to its Baltimore location.

“With our new office location we’re excited to strengthen our presence in Baltimore, the heart of Maryland,” added Segerman.
