Rhee Bros. Inc. Purchases 100% Wind Power for its Hanover, MD Headquarters

(ROCKVILLE, Md, May 3, 2012) – Clean Currents announced today that Rhee Bros. Inc., one of the nation’s largest Asian foods wholesaler and distributor, purchased 100% wind power for its facility in Hanover, Maryland.

Rhee Bros., sells its food products to retail and foodservice clients throughout the U.S. and over 30 countries.  By purchasing 100% wind power through Clean Currents, the electricity consumption of Rhee Bros. Inc.’s headquarters is now carbon neutral.

Rhee Bros. Inc.’s wind power purchase of nearly four million kilowatt-hours (KWh) of electricity is equivalent to removing almost six million pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from the atmosphere or removing 320 single-family homes from the electric grid.
