Clean Currents and Your Community

Clean Currents is a different kind of energy company.  We are deeply involved with our customer base and have built a vibrant green community throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Because we were founded by local entrepreneurs, we understand the importance of building a thriving local economy for the communities where we live, work and play.

The Clean Currents team is deeply passionate about environmental issues and has experience combatting climate change with Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, and the Chesapeake Climate Action Network as well as other progressive organizations.  Working closely with these environmental groups, Clean Currents encourages and fosters widespread adoption of sustainable lifestyles from the ground up.

Since 2005, Clean Currents has built a vibrant green community in the region with over 7,000 residential and over 600 commercial customers. We encourage you to check out our incredible wind powered businesses! You can grab a coffee, shop for home goods, get a haircut, and go out for dinner all while supporting companies that have made a conscious effort to green their operations.

Green Vs. Dirty Power

Get Involved

Our hallmark community program is called the Green Neighborhood Challenge.  This is a way for any group - ranging from a neighborhood association, to a school club, to an interest group - to become engaged in learning more about renewable energy and sustainable living while simultaneously providing an opportunity for group fundraising.  Learn more HERE

CCAN got involved with the Green Neighborhood Challenge because the only way we are going to solve extreme climate change is by encouraging people to adopt greener lifestyles and getting tougher environmental laws.
