Maryland Based Clean Energy Supplier Recognized for Green Passport DC Campaign
(Austin, TX – September 23, 2013) — The Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) awarded Clean Currents with the Best Marketing Campaign by a Green Power Supplier award at this year’s national Renewable Energy Markets conference in Austin today. The award recognizes Clean Currents for its exceptional work in marketing green power to consumers.

Clean Currents was specifically recognized for their spring 2012 campaign Green Passport DC. Green Passport DC incentivized individuals to support wind powered businesses. Through a custom built Facebook application, participants earned rewards like cash back for “checking in” at participating wind powered businesses. The campaign connected the physical element — brick and mortar business partners — with a social media element – checking in and sharing through Facebook and Twitter.
The campaign was run by Clean Currents, with all the design work for the ads and collateral material created by RoundPeg Communications and custom Facebook application built by Fabrizio & Friends.
