Green Neighborhood Challenge

The Green Neighborhood Challenge (GNEC) gives community groups and non-profit organizations an opportunity to raise funds for green projects while increasing support for clean energy. Through the program, your group can:

  - Earn donations through enrollments in our wind and solar power programs.
  - Increase awareness around environmental stewardship.
  - Help build a more sustainable community!

Clean Currents will work closely with your group to plan an educational campaign over a 60 day period around sustainability and making the switch to wind or solar power at home

  • Clean Currents staff will provide your group with promotional materials, meet with your group's leaders, and make a presentation to your community.
  • Clean Currents will help to connect your group with other communities who are also working to increase support for clean energy and live more sustainably.
  • Based upon your group's level of involvement, Clean Currents will make a donation to go towards financing a "greening project" of your group's choice.

CCAN got involved with the Green Neighborhood Challenge because the only way we are going to solve extreme climate change is by encouraging people to adopt greener lifestyles and getting tougher environmental laws.
